Strength Training

Power is one of the building blocks in developing the complete athlete. Our focus on strength training is specific to the sport that the athlete is participating in. We target the muscles necessary for the specific skills of that sport. Combining techniques developed in our flexibility program with specific power movements results in a comprehensive training approach. This helps to build a stronger and more powerful athlete in the the offseason and to maintain strength and endurance in season.

  • One hour introduction to a specific weight/strenghtening program, stressing the importance of proper technique, rest between sets, amount of weight being used and building a strong nutritional background.
  • 3 day a week supervised strength program designed to develop a stronger and more
    powerful athlete through the use of the XST weight room.

  • All strength programs are monitored and charted to evaluate progress.

  • Weight room open to parents waiting for their children in other XST programs.
